One of the common requirements of the clients is to customize the login page of Maximo as per the companies name. Maximo provides you the ability to change the name of your login page. It involves 3 simple steps to achieve that.
I have listed down the steps below to configure your login page.
This message and other text on the login screen is controlled by values in the MAXMESSAGES table. In order to change the values in your MAXMESSAGES table there is a Messages application under Select Action in the Database Configuration application.
1.Go to System Configuration-> Platform Configuration-> Database Configuration and then click on Select Action -> Messages.
2.Once you are in the Messages application you can filter for login under the Message Group column. This will bring up a list of all the messages used to display text on the Login screen. If you select Message ID BMXAA5095I and change the Value for this message then it will replace the current “Welcome to Maximo” message. As an example I changed the value to “Welcome Aman. Have a nice day” and then the login screen shows like this:
3.You can replace the welcome message with your company name or “Development Environment” to personalize your environment or indicate what instance you are using. Similarly you can change the messages for User Name, Password, Sign In, Forgot Password, New User, and Register Now. There are different message records for each of these.
Lastly there is a message that controls the user welcome on the top left of the Start Center after a user logs in.
If you modify the value for Message ID BMXAA5094E then you could change the message to look like:
Changing values in the Messages application provides a quick method to customize your Maximo environment.
